NIOS has already experimented
and used a number of tools to help students. It is necessary to reinvent those
for the benefit of students. Some of these are:
- Give learning material to students right at the time of taking admission
- Give study guides to them
- Write to them/send SMS at various important points of their course of study such as Personal Contact Programmes, change of subject, Tutor Marked Assignments, filling in exam fee, practical exams, theory exam
- Have orientation programmes
- Provide examination practice
- Students should be able to speak to someone in case of any need and should be able to get help in their problems
- All the material should be transferred on audio files.
