NIOS has already experimented and used a number of tools to help students. It is necessary to reinvent those for the benefit of students. Some of these are:
  1. Give learning material to students right at the time of taking admission
  2. Give study guides to them
  3. Write to them/send SMS at various important points of their course of study such as Personal Contact Programmes, change of subject, Tutor Marked Assignments, filling in exam fee, practical exams, theory exam
  4. Have orientation programmes
  5. Provide examination practice
  6. Students should be able to speak to someone in case of any need and should be able to get help in their problems
  7. All the material should be transferred on audio files.
